Boy of Boy!

I have been running for a week now. I am still getting us organized. Three people in a 2 bedroom is hard! But I can make it happen.

Today:
Ran to wash clothes - 1.75 for the washer and 25 cents for the dryer. It was really 75 cents, but I noticed a washer kept saying 1.50 so I pushed the coin return and it gave me 50 cents. So I put that in the dryer with my quarter. Had a few things that I did not dry or did not dry 100% in the dryer so those are hanging on the porch. I still LOVE those racks I got 3 years ago. I walked to and from the laundromat so that saved $2.00.



Going to meet someone at the storage to take the matress. So it will be empty today and $100.00 in my wallet starting in July! WOO HOO!! CHA CHING!

Low on food but have enough to get me till Wednesday. Have chicken thawing for Tuesday and made spaghetti yesterday. Plus we have chicken nuggets, cereal (no milk) and some other things.

Wednesday is payday I have:

I can make it today and tomorrow on that easy! I was going to take a small loan from the Payday Place but we are good.

Have to rework the budget now that the kid is home. But hey I am glad he is here even if he has the I am almost 18 tude and eating me out of house and home.

Broke and Not so Fabulous

Tomorrow is moving day

Tomorrow I should finish moving the rest of my stuff out of the storage. This is going to save me $100.00 a MONTH! I can't wait. Although I won't be able to put that money into savings quite yet but at least it is going towards useful bills.

I only managed to sell the bed for $60 instead all of the stuff the woman was going to buy. She totally backed out at the last minute. I was tired of dealing with her dumb ass so I said fine. I ended up throwing the chair up on Craigslist for Free. I have 2 people who want it. One is coming tomorrow, if not then the other gets it.

Today was a busy day:
Move some boxes
Ran to Target - got cheese, bread, chicken nuggests - had my $10.00 giftcard cost me 18 cents
Made dinner
Did dishes
watched Farrah special with mom
Showered got clothes out for tomorrow

Now here and soon bed. Have to work in morning and then move my stuff. I actually love going to work..it is my relaxation time. This week has been crazy.

SummerFest Pictures

Thought I would share my day with you! I went with my friend, her daughter in law and my son met up with us later. Spent about 30.00. Not bad at all for the GIG! Had a water fight with everyone. It was so hot and I got some serious sun! I am about 3 shades darker now and I even used sun block

Free Makeup

My friend Julie went to the Cosmetic meeting yesterday. 8-5 of meetings about make-up, trends etc. The cool thing is they get all these free samples. And they are full size make up samples. And the good stuff Covergirl, Revlon, Almay and lotions and shampoos. That is a reason to be the HBA at Walgreens.

Well my girl Julie -- shared a lot of her stuff with me. So I got 3 new lipsticks (one I gave to mom - not my shade), shampoo, lotion and some other stuff.

So COOL!! I adore Juliebeans (as I love to call her)

A few more hours till SUMMERFEST!

The BIG GIG starts June 25 and July 6 down at Milwaukee, WI Lakefront. My friend and her friend and son are meeting up to hang at the GIG!

Admission is steep $8.00 during the day $15.00 nights and weekends. But being the frugal girl that I am....we are going June 25 when it is free to get in with 3 cans of food. So I will be bring somethings that won't get eaten here. So I can help my community and party like a rock star!

Okay so maybe not so much the party part. But I am bring food and yes I am bring more than 3 foods.

I have saved $20.00 for this. Bringing a waterbottle (which is freezing right now) and plan on drinking water most of the day. Hey it is going to be in the high 80's! And these last few days it has been in the 90's or more. So bring on the water. It is 1 am and it is 81 degrees out. I LOVE SUMMER! Yesterday it was 93 out...AGAIN I LOVE SUMMER! Later today it is suppose to be 87 degrees...I LOVE SUMMER!!!

Got my $10.00 giftcard today. So now I will be off to Target one of these days. Not sure what it is being spent on but I am sure it will go to go use. So now I am saving up for another card.

Picking up extra hours

I managed to pick up 5.5 extra hours so far this week. A girl has been sick and can't work. Also another store called me to work at their store after I am done with my shift at my store. The hours at the second store are all OT.

Not only does this bring in a little extra money but it also boosts my average hours. So if I end up having my surgery at the end of the year. I will be able to go on Disability and get paid for the 4 to 8 weeks I will be off. Which is very important.

So every time a store asks me to work, I do it. In fact by working all the extra hours Nov.- Jan. boosted my average that I was able to get my insurance. Which I so desperatly needed.

Saving 97.00 a month

It has been a busy few days. I am happy to report as of July 1 I will be saving $97.00 a month! Which on my income is huge, although I believe in this economy that is huge to most people.

I will be vacating my storage place at the end of the month. My friend and I went out and purged what we could. We also figure out that I can move the 21 boxes into Mom's house and then consolidate/purge some more.

I am also selling off:
bed (matress, box spring and frame)
Chair and ottoman
2 tables

For $100.00.

When I get my tax return it will be saved for new stuff. I am keeping a lamp and a table plus Mom has more tables for me.

I will be paying off bills and saving part of the storage every month in a savings account. I have lived paying this bill for so long that I should not even feel it as I did not before.

So I am really happy about this. I was planning on moving out in July but looks like it will happen in June.

Payday!

Today is payday! WOO HOO! However I was not happy to see how much taxes are being taken out for the State. Somehow my withholding were changed to 0. I never claim 0 as my withholdings. So last Sunday I faxed a new W-2 to payroll, so I should see the change on my next check.

water bottle. (Since I keep buying bottles. Saves money and the earth)
All for you magazine - 2.24 but enough coupons I get my money back and more.

Stopped at grocery store:
Bus pass for next week. (starts Sunday)

Today have to work at 4 pm. Will be bring more pork roast and brown rice. I only purchased nylons for mom at work last night and free body wash. So I got a soda and chips for free too.

So wanted to stop at Mcdonalds. Why is there one in Walmart. But talked myself out of that ASAP! So I came home and ate. Really want to keep curbing that eating out.

My checking account is positive and I have money in my purse. I am really getting better at this. I know it may seem simple but for some reason there are times I have major issues with this.

The schedule begins

Last night I made out the schedule for how to spend my day. This should allow me to get more things done during the day. So far I am right on schedule.

Today's plans include:

• cleaning my room
• going to storage (clean out and start taking pics.)
• return library books
• checking mail for offers from Associated
• Finishing up a few more articles
• bed by 10:30 PM

Meals today:

1. pork roast
2. veggies
3. water to drink
4. Pack sandwich for storage or eat before I go
5. granola bar in my bag

Went back and reread some of my blog. I am amazed at things I did to keep myself going before. I will have to keep reminding myself that it can be done. I can do it. It inspirses me to keep going towards to the goal.

Will try and report back on how the day went.

Weekend is over!

The weekend is over! Hurray for me! I know many of you are going what the heck???? But I have off tomorrow. I am beat so I really need a day off to get a lot of things done. It is going to be a busy and crazy week.

Today I made the pork roast I got from the meat deal. It was perfect in the crockpot. So I will get another deal when I get paid.

Posted more things on Craigslist. I am meeting someone tomorrow to pick up my nessco. We don't use it. So I sold it. I have a lot of other things I am going to try and sell too.

Tomorrow:
Go to storage. Take pictures of everything I want to sell.
Start listing on Craigslist and the local group I use.
See if I have any books for Cash4books.net (have used them before - great site)

Stopped to see a friend. I had this cute little ball for her baby. She had a daily schedule on her list. I am going to make one up for me too. So that I get stuff done and am not just wasting time.

What is wrong with me?

Remember the whole get points for Target giftcards from my bank and mypoints? Okay I had enough points from mypoints.com to get my 10.00 giftcard. It is on its way. So I just checked and I now have enough for the 25.00 giftcard from my bank.

That is 35.00 in giftcards towards the bras I need badly. Why is it then I look through what I can order and say will another 10,000 points and I can get the kid a giftcard to FOOT LOCKER for $100.00 towards shoes or I can get a giftcard for my mom's b-day present.

I guess I am still not 100% all about me. That can be a good thing and a bad thing. I wish I could just say okay I am going to get this for me and not worry about others needs. That is so not me.

Okay off to decide what to do!

Figuring out paycheck

Payday is this coming Wed. you know it is sad when you know that check is gone before it hits the bank.

This weekend or Monday at the latest. I need to figure out what HAS to be paid. Make a list and then on Wed. get it paid off.

Got a few hits on stuff I put on Craigslist. Might have sold my Nessco (the one that holds the 20 pound Turkey). We don't need something that big. I listed it at 25.00. So I hope it goes as that will go into the bill paying fund. Looks like this is going to sell ASAP. I already have 3 people wanting to buy. So I am giving the first person the chance to buy and pending the others. That would be so great to get that sold.

Have $33.00 in the bank till payday. Don't think I need to touch it, as I have some cash in my purse.

Breakfast was here - Good old Fiber One bars. I love catching those on sale.
Lunch/Dinner - is at working waiting for me.

Water bottle will come with me when I leave this morning.

Would love to get a few more articles written this weekend. Since I have 4 waiting to be approved, might as well keep adding to it.

Have 3.94 on the paypal account from money earned. Waiting to build that up to a good payment.

GRRRR Medical Bill hit the Lawyers office

Great one of the medical bills I still have to pay has hit the lawyers office. That sucks cause I am not sure if they will accept payments of 25.00 a month for now. The bill is almost 500.00. So if they don't then all extra money earned will have to go to them and not to the dentist.

The letter says I have 30 days to contact/pay them. So I am going to wait a week and see what I can sell. If I can sell enough stuff maybe I can either A. Pay off Dentist. Then I could pay them 75.00 a month. That would be 7 months of payments. Or give them a nice chunk of it and then make payments.

Took my lunch to work today! Also took enough for lunch at work tomorrow too. Really going over the budget to see where else I can cut back a bit. Would be nice if I could have the 10-16 hours I lost a check back. I don't know if that will be happening soon. So I have to find other ways to make that work.

I still have not heard from AC about my pending articles. It does say it can take up to two weeks for them to make you an offer. I have never waited that long. However, I can see more people writing now to make some extra cash. It might be enough to put gas in someone's car or buy food for the kids. Depending on how much they write and how well they write.

After Father's Day I plan on asking for more envelopes from work. Just enough for me to use not the tons I use to have. They are free and I can use them for anything I need paper for. At this rate anything I do not have to buy then I am all over it.

Monday is the day for me to really work on not smoking. I am off of work. I plan on staying home and just doing it. I will be using the patches I have to get me through the first couple of rough spots. I really want to do this, not only for my health but also for my wallet.

Going to be reworking the budget on Monday too.

I am so close to new bras - that will be free!

If I get poked one more time by the broken wire in my bra. You may hear of a woman throwing her bra across the street. I did manage tonight to get the broken wire out of one of them. Thank goodness, since I could not wait to get that darn thing off.

I am 687 points away from a $25.00 giftcard to Target using my bank points.
I am 6 points away from a $10.00 giftcard to Target using Mypoints.

So when I have that $35.00 in giftcard I will be running to Target to get some bras. The are so badly needed right now. But I refuse to spend money when I am so close to those giftcards and they will be free bras.

So pray that I can either get the wire out of the other bra or that it does not pop my boob open.

Sold and item and paid you know who

The lady met me Tuesday to buy one of my Coach items. I sold it for $30.00 which was around what I paid for it. I am glad that I finally sold something.

I also went and did my mystery shop on Tuesday since the maintance guy called and was not coming. So this way I don't have to try and do it tomorrow before I go to work.

So when I got home from work tonight. I went online to my bank's bill pay service and sent a payment off to the Dentist for $30.00. It takes about week to get there, which is no big deal since he is not looking for a payment till next week. Won't he be surprised when he gets the regularly scheduled payment of 25.00 too.

So as of next Friday I will have paid at the min. $94.00 to him this month. I will have 10 days to go. It would be great to get to at least $125.00 for the month of June. I hope to have more than that paid but have to see if I can sell more or get more articles written. Right now I have two pending but that is all I had time to write.

Paying Bills online

I went to look how many points I have from my checkcard and from Mypoints. I am in need of some new bras. I have been holding out but the wire jabbing me is enough. I don't want to take money and buy new ones right now. So I thought if I use my points and order some giftcards from Target then I could get some new bras.

Between my bank and mypoints I could get $20 worth of giftcards. Then I remembered I have not used the bill pay service at my bank yet. The first time I use it - I will earn 5,000 points. With the extra 5,000 points and mypoints I could get 35.00 worth of giftcards to Target. Much better deal.

I am 6 points away from the $10.00 card from Mypoints. I have over 100 pending points so I am hoping they show up soon.

So when I get paid next week, I will be sending the dentist payment through my bill pay service at the bank. Wait for those points to arrive and order my card.

That means no more wire jabbing me in the near future.

More articles written

This morning I submitted two more articles for Associated. Right now that seems to be the easiest way for me to make some extra cash.

I was also accepted for another mystery shop that I will do tomorrow. Once again food and money for my time. This one is much closer to my house. I have a bus pass so the cost for transportation is covered. It is another location of what I did yesterday. I would love for this to take off and get at least 2 or more a month.

A lady is suppose to be picking up one of the items I sold. So that is $30.00 more dollars towards the dentist bill. IF I can keep selling and writing who knows I may beat my Aug. 31 deadline of paying this bill off.

Of course once he is paid then I move on to the honking Doctor bill. But one step at a time.

Have to work today and will not be spending any money at work. I know I can do it. Just have to put my mind to it. Will bring my water bottle and food.

Paid the dentist with Associated Money

Had $14.00 on my paypal card. So I called the dentist and made the payment today. My goal is to get this paid off 100% by Aug. 31. So every single extra dime I can come up with will go to the dentist.

Only $286.80 left to pay. Need to get to writing some stuff today and getting somethings listed on Craigslist.

Mystery Shop!

Now that I have my computer back and was able to check some older email accounts, I found my secret shopper place. I am doing a mystery shop tomorrow and it means I get free food. WOO HOO!!! Of course I can not tell you where I am going but I do like the place so that is a plus. Plus I have been wanting to go there but did not want to spend the money. Good think my off day is tomorrow too. I will get to the bank and go there for lunch.

It pays $5.00 plus up to $7.00 in food. So that is going towards my dentist bill. Good thing they put it on paypal so when that card has a good amount on it. Then I will take it out of my drawer and have the dentist charge my payment.

I hope to start getting more and more of these mystery shops. It would be a good way to add a little extra to my bills.

Oh and I spent $0 today! I actually managed to have a NO SPEND DAY! YEAH ME!

Sunday

It is so nice to be sitting in my kitchen on my computer. Not having to shower, get dressed and walk over to the library. Where I can end up waiting an hour to use the computer for an hour.

This morning called a friend's husband who helped me get my printer up and running again. YEAH! Found out my color ink that I refilled only prints in GREEN! Not a big deal as I don't need color ink to often. But I am going to need to get a new cartridge one of these days. Printed out some coupons for Mac and Cheese.

WOO HOO!!!

Payday

Today was/is payday. WHOO HOO! The good news is that my checking account is positive. Yes I have struggled with that. So I stopped my direct deposit so I can get a handle on what the hell I am doing.

Got up and cashed my check. I did stop at Walmart for a new TV antenna but I think it needs to go back as I still get wiggle pictures at times. Although it might be the strong winds we are having. I also got some spaghetti sauce since it is much cheaper there than at the store I shop at.
Bought some bus tickets for when I am not or can't walk.

I don't have the complete list with me. But I sat down last night and figured out what has to be paid.

Stopped at the butcher for the June meat deal. This time I had them wrap the cut up chicken into 2 halves. I am still eating chicken from Sunday and now getting a bit tired of it.

June's meat deal:
Boneless Pork Roast
2 lbs Country Style Ribs
3 Homemade Italian Sausage
1 Whole or Cut-up Chicken
1 lb Ground Chuck
2 Chicken Patties (pre-cooked)

Once again for only $20.09. I may get another one before the month is up.

Got my offers from the four articles I wrote for Associated Content. There is another $14.00 that I have made. My goal is to write at least 2 to 4 articles a week. If you have an topic ideas let me know. Once they are published I will let you know so you can read them if you choose.

Decided not to go to Chicago for the 4th. My sis in law lost her job and money is tight, so we are going to stay put.

Got the dentist bill and after this payment. I will only owe $300.00 on that root canal. Of course I am also going tomorrow for my fillings. So that will be a little added on that after insurance. But I do feel really good knowing that I am making gains in getting it paid off.

Also decided to turn my computer back on at home. I come to the library for 2 hours a day and that is just not enough time to find a job. So ATT is sending me the modem for the DSL service. I figure it will be worth the monthly cost if I find a job within 6 months. At this rate I will never find one.
