Yeah! When it rains it pours

Okay so I finally get online and back to job searching and stuff. Three days later my computer freakin DIES! The power pack is dead. Nothing not even a glimmer of hope. Well one thing is for sure I am not sinking any money into that thing. So I am now in the process of saving for a brand new computer.

I made a huge chart and hung it on the closet door. So we can see it. I have put the goal at 900.00. I think that may be high but hey at least it is fun saving for it.

In the mean time I will try to get here and post at least 2 a week. I have to come to the library and do my job search. So I can take a moment or two out of my day to check in here.

I have to say the first first thing I did was find Frugal Homemaker Plus meatloaf recipe and made a copy of that. So we can have it for dinner again soon. I just loved it.

Also my Dad was kind enough to pay my gas bill so there is no issues there. And B's grandparents are sending him 200 or 300 hundred dollars for school clothes. Oh don't even worry your pretty heads. He is not spending it all on clothes. And it will be spend wisely I promise you that.

Finally I can post again

It has been about a month since my last post. I have not nor do I plan on ever giving up on my blog.

Money has been tight here. I had to choose to buy food and pay rent or keep my phone on. Well the phone was shut off for about 4 weeks. Finally got it back on today. I sure missed my computer but one must do what one must do.

I am still looking for fulltime work. Never did I think it was going to be this long before I found a full time job. I have learned so much from this and should it ever happen again I will be prepared. I plan to work 2 jobs till I am caught up and have savings in the bank.

We are doing okay on the frugal front but there is always more to learn or do. I was lucky and got some good deals on laundry soap. Not that it was needed but when you pay 19 cents for a bottle of ALL and then 80 cents for a second bottle. How can you not buy it.

I have managed to figure out how to track my spending. I bought a small notebook and keep it in my purse. I track only 2 weeks at a time. Each paycheck. Much easier for me for some reason. Also makes me see where the leaks are. So now I am working on plugging those up too.

My son turned 15 last week. I can't believe the little baby I brought home is already 15. School starts in a few weeks. I have supplies for him but no clothes. So today I swallowed my pride and sent his parental grandparents a letter asking for help. So I am hoping they find it in their hearts to help. Since the son pays so little child support.

There will be more frugal posts and updates soon. Now I want to go and read all the blogs I have been missing.
